The Franz Anton Mayer Winery has been dealing with what the unique loess soils of the Wagram region yield since meanwhile 4 generations: superb, variety-typical and unmistakable wines.

Franz Anton Mayer jun., the 37-year-old head of the winery founded as early as 1896, died in February 2013 after a long, severe illness. Now the brand as well as the entire production has been taken over, and the frequently award-winning enterprise is being prepared for a continued successful future.

During his lifetime, Franz Anton Mayer wished for nothing more than that his wines would be enjoyed and whether their quality would be appreciated. The new team now assumes this responsibility and will take over the entire winery and a portion of the wine-growing areas. Consequently, the grand tradition of the Franz Anton Mayer Winery is also ensured for the next generations.
